Back in 2010, Dave Engledow of Takoma Park, Maryland, became a father to little baby Alice Bee. Dave wanted to document the life of his daughter in a way that is she would appreciate when she is an adult and is highly creative. Dave came up the idea of making a satirical image of the “World’s Best Father,” showing the dazed look of exhaustion that every new father has at one point or another. This soon became a series that portrays a father that is lazy, neglectful, overbearing, and just plain wrong.

Following this image, Engledow released a 4th of July image, which really got the ball rolling for the “World’s Best Father” series. The series gained global popularity, especially from new fathers who share these same fears and experiences.
Currently, Engledow has a kickstarter to raise money for a “World’s Best Father” 2013 Calendar, which would be amazing! As of today, Dave has 114 backers and $3,982 pledged, which is three times as much as he originally planned for.
What a BAMF! Not only is Dave Engledow able to create these beautiful images, but he can poke fun at himself in a way that is relatable to all new parents!
Here is the link to his kickstarter where you can donate to the 2013 calendar, he only has 8 DAYS LEFT:
