Hey, guys! Elliott here.
EVERYBODY PANIC!
I don’t know if you’ve heard or not, but Barack Obama could lose this election. Evidently, a chance of losing is essential to this whole idea of an election, but alas, here we are, all worried.
In Colorado, an amendment legalizing marijuana could hurt Obama, as the only pro-pot Presidential candidate on the docket is currently Libertarian Gary Johnson.
Side note: I registered to be a Libertarian last week. I was so excited! It was official! But then I forgot to sign it and the registrar sent it back to me, I got mad at myself, and it’s still sitting on my ironing board. Ah, patriotism.
Where was I? Oh, yes, the friendly cannabis plant may end Obama’s chances at a second term. But fret not, because that’s just one thing that could up-end our beloved incumbent’s chance at a second term. With Mitt Romney digging his hole on what seems like a daily basis, the media is struggling to find things to report on. After all, elections sell. Elections are what sell advertising, and that’s what pays all the people telling us their unbiased, totally-not-corporately-funded information.
“Will this pro-pot amendment cost Obama the election?!”
“Will this VIDEO cost Obama the election?!”
“Take a look at this chart–it could cost Obama the election!”
I love watching coverage of the election, because regardless of who will win, or what state the country will be in when all is said and done, I believe that the only thing that will cost Obama this election is you and me. And, y’know, 150 million other people.
And whatever happens, whatever apocalypse is headed our way, whatever harsh economic times will fall upon us if whoever we DON’T want elected gets (re)elected, at least we know that Alison Brie is still a thing.
