Last week I posted a Funny or Die video of Big Bird responding to Mitt Romney’s promise that he would shut down PBS even though he likes the people there. It was childish but it was a video posted on Funny or Die so its not like I was looking for substance.
Today we see that the Obama campaign bringing up Big Bird in what I consider a funny video if it was released by ANY OTHER ORGANIZATION AT ALL. Its stupid and takes away from the facts that matter like Romney straight up lying/mispeaking about “Death Panels” on live TV.
Its so stupid that even Big Bird is having to distance himself from the President with Sesame street releasing the statement:
Sesame Workshop is a nonpartisan, nonprofit organization and we do not endorse candidates or participate in political campaigns. We have approved no campaign ads, and as is our general practice, have requested that the ad be taken down.
When even a giant yellow communist bird doesn’t have your back you have to question your campaign strategy. But Nation I want to know what you think.
Is the ad all in good fun or a stupid childish move?
