“Sons of Anarchy” is a kick-ass television show. That’s not news. That’s an opinion.
But this is news: Former “Sons of Anarchy” cast member dies after falling (or jumping) off a roof, after attacking neighbors with a 2×4, after allegedly murdering his elderly landlady… and her cat.
Before today, Johnny Lewis was just a 28-year-old actor who appeared in the aforementioned “Sons of Anarchy” for two seasons, as well as “The O.C.” and “Criminal Minds.” Now Johnny Lewis is being investigated as the guy that appeared in all those shows AND brutally murdered Katherine Davis, the 81-year-old owner of the Los Feliz, California house where he was living. Also, for cat murder.
It has been reported that the whole thing may have started when Lewis initially argued with a painter working on the house next door. He then returned to his residence and everything went nuts.
Neighbors heard the sound of breaking glass and screaming from within the house moments before Lewis attacked them with a large piece of wood.
Upon hearing the sounds of approaching sirens, Lewis promptly climbed the roof to escape, and promptly fell (or jumped) to his death.
Police suspect drugs were a contributing factor, but that won’t be confirmed until toxicology reports from the autopsy are released.
This may seem like a crazy occurrence to all us “normies” outside of Hollywood, but this apparently might be the end of a destructive path that was already being paved. Kurt Sutter, the creator of SoA, had this to say about Lewis on his twitter:
“... it was a tragic end for an extremely talented guy, who unfortunately had lost his way. i wish i could say that i was shocked by the events last night, but i was not. i am deeply sorry that an innocent life had to be thrown into his destructive path. yes, it’s day or mourning, but it’s also a day of awareness and gratitude. sadly, some of us carry the message by dying.”
