Old folks, right? Always losing their glasses, talking about going to venues that never existed to see bands that no one even remembers anymore.
And we all know they were in the sixties, right? Well, one elderly couple in the United Kingdom must have forgotten.
The man and wife in Bedford went to a flea market and got themselves a cute little bush to tend to in their garden. And, because they’re old but not feeble, had plenty of time to put in the effort and take care of the little guy.
Then the little guy got bigger. And bigger. And then got huge.
Oh, and one other thing — it was a cannabis plant.
It’s unknown if the police were the ones to notice, or if the couple noticed and called the police to collect it, but when officers saw the plant, they were so shocked and amused that they felt the need to Tweet a picture of the thing:
Police were all “biggest cannabis plant we had seen!” And promptly confiscated it.
No charges will be filed on the couple.
As far as the guy at the flea market who ended up selling the pot plant, I hope beyond all hope that he looked and talked kind of like this:
