Apple is set to released the 5th generation iPad, but really it’s just a beefed up iPad 2 and we all know it!

The newest version of the iPad will have the Retina Display and the A6X chip and is priced at $800 for the Wifi only model and $930 for the 4G enabled version. Seem at bit pricey? Well this new model will have 128 gigs of storage! Hooray or actually, wait … who cares?

With Apple’s iCloud service, there is no real reason to have an iPad that has that much space. Do you really need all 10 seasons of Friends for your 2 hour plane ride?

The newest iteration of Microsoft Office is here and will be making it’s way to computers in an unusual way.

Gone are the times when one would tack on an extra hundred dollars to the purchase of their home computer to have Office integrated into the system.  You can purchase Microsoft Office the way you purchase Netflix or Hulu+: with a subscription.

That’s right, Microsoft Office 365 is for rent. You can purchase the program on a month to month basis for $10 or pay $100 upfront for a full year. The purchase includes the entire suite, which can be installed across 5 devices simultaneously  Streaming versions of the application can be sent to any computer you’re on that has an internet connection, and all of your files will be synced as you work.

Tethered with the package is  20 free GB or SkyDrive storage and an hour of free global Skype calling each month.

Your subscription includes any updates made to the programs and for students there will be an affordable subscription for $80. However, if you really wish to just have the program straight out, you can still buy it for a flat $140 for the home versions or $220 for the business edition.

You can pick up your copy of Office today.

The launch trailer for Dead Space 3 released, and we know one person who’d just love the song in the trailer: Mike Tyson.

The trailer itself features “In the Air Tonight” by Phil Collins which if you remember was comically sung by the infamous boxer in The Hangover.

It also features a lot of in game footage, and a look at Isaac Clarke’s redesign. The character’s face looks the same roughly, with more details in his expression and somewhat more aged than we last saw him.

He follows a trail of necromorph tracks in the snow that lead to what appears to be a third marker, dug into the icy planet. Clarke takes a deep breath and plunges into what I imagine would be a hellish fray.

Dead Space 3 launches February 5th.
