We’ve got some BioShock Infinite gameplay, lucky people who get luckier by watching Django Unchained early, and we’ve got the creators of Dungeons & Dragons starting a magazine. For some reason. Hang in there, it’s Nerd Porn.
BioShock Infinite Gameplay
Because people are jerks, we’re going to be teased left and right over BioShock Infinite. First they give us the new universe. Then they hook us up with some sweet Russian cosplay action, and now, courtesy of Spike TV’s Video Game Awards, we’ve got some actual gameplay – but just a few seconds!
Okay, that was… Listen, I want to jump from floating 1900s ship to floating 1900s ship. I don’t know what this “handy man” shit is, but yeah, I’m going to shoot it a lot.
BioShock Infinite comes out February 2013.
Gygax Magazine
The creators of Dungeons & Dragons, TSR Games, have returned to the world of tabletop gaming — in some form, anyway. They have decided to get into the print game. Because the publishing industry is doing so well.
Luke and Ernie Gygax, the sons of D&D creator Gary Gygax, have started Gygax Magazine to “focus on the entire tabletop gaming hobby and community.” There will be a digital version as well, so perhaps they are not entirely insane human beings.
Django Unchained Early Screening
A number of film industry type folk got to see Django Unchained early, and the response has been quite positive.
Django unchained is super violent spaghetti western w/ anachronistic songs. waltz & jackson steal it. All talk & action. 1st screening.

Django was terrific. DiCaprio blows the roof off the joint.

DJANGO UNCHAINED: holy shit. brutally hilarious spaghetti comedy does for business what Basterds did for war. Best American film of 2012.

The runtime of Django Unchained is around 2 hours & 40 mins & I wanted it to be longer~
— Jeff Goldsmith (@yogoldsmith) December 2, 2012
Did you catch that? Two hours and forty minutes? This bitch is gonna be long. Anyway, here’s the trailer.
Question: If BioShock Infinite and Django Unchained had a child together, what would it be called?
