Injured Soccer Player Hit with Bomb During Game
We all love our sports, some of us even a little too much. Like we love them so much we follow our favorite players home and watch them sleep – but that’s not me. Well during yesterday’s soccer match between Omonia Nicosia vs Anorthosis in Cyprus, an injured player was hit with a bomb during game by a fan in the stands.
A teammate from Anorthosis was being tended to by medics when a fan of Omonia Nicosia threw a flare into the group of medics. It exploded, but it looked as though the group was startled rather than injured. However, there is no news as to whether any of the medics or players were injured from the blast. The game stalled for about ten minutes after the attack, but then continued on for the rest of the evening.It is unclear if the culprit was apprehended by police, but he did endanger the lives of many people.
It’s a little shocking that this is the second act of violence that has occurred at a soccer match this past month! Dear god these fans be crazy!
