So during its coverage of the Trayvon Martin homicide, NBC obtained the 911 call made by George Zimmerman on the night of the incident. He said a lot of stuff, it was a long call, and NBC just had time constraints, you know?
…so it’s totally understandable that they edited the call to make Zimmerman seem racist, right?
Okay, okay.
In the NBC version of Zimmerman’s calls, George appears to say Martin”looks like he’s up to no good. He looks black.”
Except that wasn’t how he was phrasing it in context. Zimmerman was actually saying that he thought Martin might be on drugs, that he was just walking around in the rain. The dispatcher later asked him about Martin’s race, and he simply answered the question.
NBC apologized for the terrible edit, but Zimmerman was all, “not good enough.” He’s suing NBC for damages as well as its executies.
Of course, it still doesn’t change the fact that he shot and killed somebody.
At any rate, Zimmerman is still being tried for the murder of Trayvon Martin, so should this case go into settlement, he may get plenty of his legal fees taken care of.
I don’t know. I’m tired of looking at this guy.
Question: Is NBC good for anything, anymore?
