Game Trailers: Assassin’s Creed III, Angry Birds Star Wars and Black Ops II
We got a bunch of game trailers coming out now, because the consumer orgy that is Black Friday is rapidly approaching us.
First up, Assassin’s Creed III’s launch trailer, which is full of American Revolution good(?)ness. You’ve got your vengeful Indian, evil Redcoats, maybe/maybe not good rebels, and what appears to be a re-creation of the Boston Massacre.
So hey, if you want to trample all over history, this is probably the prettiest and most fun way to do so short of Doc Brown finally inventing that damn time machine.
Then we’ve got Angry Birds Star Wars. Kotaku seems to think that the Luke and Leia birds have a whole bunch of sexual tension, which, ew. However, there’s also some cool new powers — like using a lightsaber and force pulling an AT-AT Walker’s leg.
And apparently you can totally bring down the Mos Eisley Cantina, which I’m in favor of. Why go into the den of scum and villany when you can just, y’know, bring the whole MF’in’ house down? It’s the only way to be sure. (Mixing sci-fi movie sayings to confuse nerds? One of my favorite hobbies.
Angry Birds Star Wars is available for download November 8th.
And then finally, we’ve got the Black Ops II trailer, which has a lot of different people in there. FPS Russia, iJustine, and… Robert Downey Jr.?
Someone says Jack Black’s in there, but I don’t see him. Or at least, I don’t think the guy is him. I’m pretty good about recognizing JB and Rage Kage whenever they show up.
I might get the AC III, but the only game that I’m super excited about is Watch Dogs, and it doesn’t come out until next year. The WarZ, maybe, but I gotta see how their beta test goes. And I gotta upgrade my machine for .
I have a lot of work to do in order to have some fun. Such is adulthood.
