Just in time for the start of Week 4′s Thursday night game, the NFL has ended their stupid, stupid lockout of the NFL Referees’ Association.
Regular union referees will be on the field tonight in Baltimore for the Ravens v. Browns game. If you have Ray Rice, you’re probably already starting him, but know that he probably won’t be allowed to be brought down by the face mask anymore.
The deal was reached late Wednesday night and the two will finalize paperwork this morning.
And in case you’re wondering how long this thing is going to last: The collective bargaining agreement lasts forĀ eight years. With automatic pay raises and retirement benefits for new hires, the referees seem pretty happy about the deal.
We think it’s pretty obvious that the NFL just straight up caved, and good riddance to this ridiculous lockout.
