So yesterday I went to the EBexpo, its kinda like Australia’s not-so-great version of E3 or Gamescon. The point is I got to play a bunch of games that haven’t been released yet, so I thought I would share my experience with you. I played:
Farcry 3:
It was genuinely fun, it was a little laggy on the X-box, or it may be because I was just standing too close. It was very smooth, very nice, and the silent takedowns are just as awesome as they are in the E3 gameplay. I drove a car, however it was very hard to control, I shot people, but I sucked at it because of the controller. I did a fly by in a hang glider, and THAT WAS F*CKING AWESOME!! Even though I enjoyed it, I wouldn’t say it was my favorite game though. I might get it, but probably not :/

Borderlands 2:
I know it’s already out, but hell its fun. I enjoyed the game, and if you haven’t already got it, go get it.
9/10
Xcom Enemy Unknown:
For those of you that don’t know what it is, it’s a top down strategy game, where you control a squad and get them into cover and fight aliens, its kinda like chess, you get your turn, then they get theirs, its actually pretty fun. Compared to the original this just no comparison, I thought the first one was good, but this game is so fantastic! I spent 45 minutes playing it and didn’t even realize, it was so great! I think I’ll get this game.
8/10
Crysis 3:
I’m not gonna lie, I haven’t played any of the other Crisis games but I realized two things when I played this game. 1: I realized I suck balls at crisis, and 2: That I loved this game anyway.
7/10
Assassin’s Creed 3:
It’s essentially Assassin’s Creed with guns. It’s still that amazingly fun, game that we all love regardless of the new addition. The demo mission was stealth coupled with a huge fight, and it was fun as hell! I did get detected and de-synced once because I may or may not have killed a guy not so stealthily. It was a blast getting to tomahawk people, and even though I didn’t use a gun I did use a bow (hint: It was super effective!).
8/10
Metal Gear Rising:
Another series that I have not played really so I don’t know what to compare it with, but here are some of the interesting things about it.I really enjoyed it, the demo itself was a tutorial with an added boss fight, and it was really fun. The Blade time feature was awesome, basically its like bullet time but instead of shooting, you chop stuff up really really fast. And boy did I chopped things up.
9/10
Medal of Honor: Warfighter:
Yes. Just yes. The line wasn’t big, already off to a good start, I played the single player and some lan multiplayer. The single player was on X-bo, so that kinda subtracted from the experience for me, being a PC gamer, but it was still a lot of fun. It was very squad based, so you really needed to stick with your squad to survive, and if you play BF3 campaign and you get the jist. The multiplayer, I went back for 3 times. It was on PC so that made the experience better againg. If you play BF3 mulitplayer on the no vehicle maps and that’s the feel of it, it was a really fluid, smooth, natural feeling. No awkward running, and no ‘floating nades’ like in the last MoH, is what I found to be annoying about the last MoH. Anyways, to me it was what an FPS should be, and I know I’m going to enjoy the shit out of that game.

Call of Duty: Black Ops 2
It was amazing, and it reminded me why I love CoD so much. I know we have all been hating on CoD because of Infinity Wards actions but Trearch is about to restore all of your hope in this game. It was the game of the show. I made some friends about my age in the line, and we got into it, it was so fun. The create a class was fantastic, and was really innovative. It was just a really really fun game, and the maps were great. Unlike MW3, the guns (I used 6 and my favorite was the Scar-H) were really balanced, and everything was on an equal playing ground. I loved it, it took me back to CoD’s glory days. I can’t explain how much fun I had playing it, I know I may get hate for this wrap up, but I laughed, I got shot in the back and laughed some more, I high fived people sitting next to me, and stabbed people in game. It was just way too much fun. I didn’t get to play any single player or zombies but I don’t even give a shit.
10/10
Fifa 13:
It was fifa, but it felt a little different, like its all about the first touch now, but it was still that amazing game that I am going to lay for hours and hours. Also I think they made the Goalie AI better cause the goalies are awesome now.
8/10
I also played a bunch of games that weren’t on this list, but yea, they had all been released already, like BF3 and Halo Reach and MW3.
What games are you most excited about coming out Nation?
