During a flight from Iceland to New York, a male passenger became so intoxicated and aggressive that he had to be restrained to his seat for a majority of the flight.
Before boarding the flight, the man reportedly drank an entire bottle of licorice spirit Topaz. During the flight, the man groped the woman seated next to him and started screaming that the plane was going to crash. He also began spitting on fellow passengers and flight crew. Classy.
Then, when he began choking a man seated near him, the other passengers banded together, overpowered the man and restrained him to his seat with duct tape and plastic ties.
The man was arrested when the plane landed in New York city, but so far there are no charges brought against him.
The main reason this story blew up is due to Reddit user Mezane posting the above picture and then the Internet just erupted over this photo.
Icelandair‘s vice-president of corporate communications, Gudjon Arngrimsson, came forward confirming that the man was restrained on one of their airlines after his ‘aggressive behavior’ towards other passengers.
