Bacongeddon: It’s Coming.

Start buying guns, water and duct tape – and then maybe a pig or two.

The Britain National Pig Association has called out from within their bunker that they’ve been constructing since they realized the issue, noting that a bacon and pork shortage is “unavoidable” next year.

Pig herds are declining at an alarming rate across the world, the organization notes.

And it’s not going to be Europe, folks. ‘Merica’s going to have declining pig populations as well. Listen, we’re just going to take a stand and make it known: If you’re asking for a world with fewer bacon-wrapped hot dogs, we’re prepared to call that cowardice.

“The global failure of maize and soya harvests” is what’s being blamed for higher pig feed prices, thus fewer pigs to turn into delicious pork, thus making pork more expensive and sending consumers looking for cheaper alternatives (you weaklings). The organization, in its press release, has launched a “Save Our Bacon” campaign, encouraging British residents to buy more pork.

Then some people on Twitter said, “well you could buy soy–” and then we stopped reading whatever stupid thing they had to say.

Question, Baconeers:

Are you going to buy more pork and bacon, or are you going to let the terrorists win?
